1,000 Bags of Poisonous Rice From India Imported Into Nigeria

Over 1,000 bags of poisonous foreign rice have been imported into Nigeria.

Platforms Africa reports that the Acting Comptroller, FoU, Zone A, of the Nigerian Customs Service, Hussein Ejibunu, who said this on Thursday in Ogun, maintauned that the products have been seized.

Hussein Ejibunu maintained during a press conference that the bags of parboiled rice came into Cotonou from India.

The bags of rice were smuggled into the country through Benin Republic.
